Viva Tapas!

For your next party or event, you might want to consider offering tapas, those delightful little dishes of Spain. With a selection of tapas on hand, guests can nibble a bit of this and a bit of that, picking and choosing what they like. AWC offers a number of traditional as well as innovative tapas dishes. Many recipes were gathered in Spain, while researching for her books, "To the Heart of Spain," and "Tapas." Traditionally, tapas are divided into ‘hot’ and ‘cold’ selections. Here is a sampling of tapas to choose from. We can also offer tapas stations, samples below. Please check terms for costs.

Gambas a la plancha--- grilled prawns with green sauce

Pollo en salsa de ajo y azafran--- boneless morsels of chicken in a saffron garlic sauce served hot from a chafing dish with small rolls

Tartlets
filled with spinach, pinenuts, raisins, apricots and goat cheese

Pinchos de pollo
marinated and grilled skewers of chicken passed with
an orange and mint allioli (garlic sauce)

meatballs in garlic and almond sauce served hot from a chafing dish

grilled bread with tomato, garlic and extra virgin Spanish olive oil

classic potato and onion Spanish omelet similar to a fritatta

Mejillones en escabeche
marinated mussels on the half shell

Esclivada con romesco
roasted vegetables with red bell pepper and almond dip
